Federal Court Is Separate
Federal cases for Wells County are handled by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, Fort Wayne Division. The federal courthouse is the E. Ross Adair Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse at 1300 S. Harrison Street in Fort Wayne. Federal criminal cases, federal civil-rights cases, federal civil cases involving federal law or diversity jurisdiction, federal appeals, and bankruptcy records are not maintained by the Wells County Clerk.
